Sanjo Kinosa (三条公修)

Kinosa SANJO (Sep. 6, 1774 - Oct.2, 1840) was Kugyo (a Court noble) in the Edo period. His official court rank was Juichii rank, Naidaijin minister.

He was a direct descendant of Fujiwara Hokke-Kanin group and came from Sanjo Family, which belonged to Seiga family (the second highest family status for court nobles). His father was Saneoki SANJO and his mother was Haruko, an adopted daughter of the lord of the Hikone domain, Naohide II. He had brothers including Sanemochi OSHIKOJI and Kucho SHIKAZONO, sons including Sanetsumu SANJO and Sanemoro SANJO, and a daughter who became a wife of Saneiso SANJONISHI.

On April 5, 1784, he was appointed Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank). After that, he rose to the rank of Juichii rank, Naidaijin minister. He deceased in 1840.
